Books to Kennedy Center Preschoolers

On July 27,  2026, preschoolers attending the Kennedy Center in Charlestown were delighted  to receive personal copies of the children's book A House for Hermit Crab by author Eric Carle. 

As part of Navy Yard Garden and Art's Bridge of Joy programming, board members Nancy Krepelka and Robin DiGiammarino hand-delivered fifty copies of Eric Carle's book to the children.   The Bridge of Joy initiative, which includes programming, sculptures, and mural art, is funded in part by a grant from The City of Boston Mayor's Office for Arts & Culture.
